Jefferson Texas, Christmas Festival

This past Friday night was the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Lions Club Park on Line St. in Jefferson Texas. The Christmas Festival included a preview of “The Miracle on 34th St.” play that will be playing during the annual Candlelight Tour of Homes. We were also thrilled by popular cowboy poet Texas Tumbleweed, a showing from all the Marion County royalty, singing Christmas songs and even Santa showed up to add to his list.

Some of our famous Riverport Ambassadors were even spotted strolling around dressed in lovely historic attire appropriate for the evenings events.

During this time of year it’s so refreshing to be part of a community that comes together for these celebrations. Everyone was smiling and well-wishing their neighbors, friends and family.
Jefferson Texas is so full of the Christmas Spirit with all of the activities going on in the month of December it feels like a never ending Christmas Festival.
Don’t worry, if you missed the lighting ceremony there are so many attractions here you’ll find something for everyone.
